These things are always fun to do. It was just a matter of finding the time to do it.

Anyway, for those of you who are curious to know.... read on and find out the deets on this pregnancy 😬

Q: How did you find out you were pregnant? A: Just took a normal Home Pregnancy Test

Q: What kind of Pregnancy test did you take?

A: Same cheap-o one I took last time. One from the 99 cent Store.

Q: How many? A: Just one. I was pretty sure it was gonna turn out positive.

Q: What were your 1st symptoms? A: First I had major cravings for all things salty. And sour. And vinegar. Then my monthly visitor never showed. I kept thinking it would come but it never did. And then I was sensitive to all smells. Gagging, dry heaving, mild nausea happened. And my boobs looked like they grew a couple of cup sizes overnight 😳. So I finally decided to take the test.

Q: Who did you tell first? A: the Hubby of course.

Q: Who was with you when you found out? A: I was kind of solo in the restroom. But the hubby and kid were both home at the same time. Just not in the restroom with me.

Q: My 1st reaction? A: Almost shocked. Because we had barely started "trying" for our 2nd baby. Last time, it took almost a year.

Q: Was your baby planned? A: Definitely.

Q: How far along were you when you found out? A: Found out on February 5th... I think I was about 5 1/2 weeks.

Q: How did your parents/family react? A: They were super happy.

Q: How did you tell your friends? A: Same way I announced it on here. With that pic of Ella. But without a caption. I wanted to see who would figure it out. For those that didn't figure it out right away, I left it at that.

DETAILS ON BABY PEEDEN

Due Date: September 27, 2017

Q: Do you know the sex? A: No, not yet. But there is an email, sitting in my Inbox, with the results of my 2nd NIPT blood test that includes Baby #2's gender. It's been sitting in my inbox for 2 weeks now... we'll be having a gender reveal on April 15th.

Q: Any names? A: Nope. Not this time. Not any that I love anyway. The ones that were on my list last time doesn't sound right this time around.

Q: Were you trying long? A: Not long at all. When I said we started "trying", I was simply saying we weren't doing anything to not get pregnant. We pretty much got it on the first try.

Q: Any Ultrasounds? A: Yup. 3. And he/she is super cute!!!

First Prenatal Appointment @ 8 (almost 9) weeks

Part 1 NIPT screening @ 11 weeks

@ 12 weeks

Q: Have you heard the heart beat? A: Yup! As recent as yesterday!!! 😍

Q: Who do you think it will look like? A: I want it to look more like me!!! I'm kind of tired of hearing that Ella "looks nothing like you" or that "she looks more and more like your husband!". And I'm even more annoyed when people give me the "yeah right" look when I tell them "for your information, she looks like my baby self... not the 'me' now". Because seriously, go look at my baby pictures and you will see the resemblance! But because our firstborn is lighter complected than I am, people assume she looks nothing like me. #EndRant

Q: Will the baby have siblings? A: Big sister Ella and big fur sister Tipsy.

Q: Have you felt the baby move? A: Yes. A lot of flutters and little thump-like kicks. And I didn't realize just how much I've missed feeling it till I finally felt it again.

MISCELLANEOUS

Q: How do you feel? A: Good! Super effing tired. But that's just the all around nature of being a parent and Jane. 😬

Q: Do you have morning sickness? A: Not the throwing up kind. But the nausea, food aversions, hungry-but-no-appetite kind. And it wasn't the kind of nausea where I felt the need or want to throw up. No, it came in the form of hunger pains... feeling like I was starving. The minute I would start eating, I'd lose my appetite. Oh and then I'd have this weird aftertaste all day long. Didn't matter what I ate. It lingered. All. Day. Long.

Q: Do you have any cravings? A: Nothing crazy yet. I've had the strangest craving for some ramen lately tho. It comes and goes.

Q: Do you have any food aversions? A: Yes. Meat. I have no appetite for it. Some days I'll try a chicken dish or a burger but immediately afterwards I'm wishing I didn't. So I've kind of stayed away from it altogether.

Q: Do you have any mood swings? A: I think it's almost a given. I was always cranky especially around weeks 7-10. The hubs would call me out on it all the time. And I didn't even realize how bad it was till he did. I'd like to think I've gotten better though since I've entered my 2nd trimester.

Q: How far along are you now? A: 16 weeks prego as of yesterday, Wednesday 4/12.

I wanted to include baby bump pics of weeks 10 thru 15 in this post but I just realized that the photos of weeks 13, 14 and 15 are on the hub's phone. But I'll include it in the next pregnancy update post.

I promise.

Miss Ella Bella wants to say hi ya'll!!!

She's definitely excited about somethin'!

And if ya missed it...maybe this one will fill you in on her little secret...

SURPRISE!!!

Yup. Here we go again...Yours truly is preggers with Baby #2!!!

I figured I'd announce it now since everyone from The Hills is announcing theirs. First Lauren Conrad, then Whitney Port, and now Heidi Montag? Lots of "famous" babies due this year. How exciting!!!!

Ok so I dunno if it's crazy that we're having babies close together in age... but what's done is done and there's no turning back! Ella was 18 months when her future sibling was conceived... and will be about 2 years old and 3 months when Baby #2 arrives. Ella is one active toddler so we definitely will have our work cut out for us. But if there's anything we've learned about being parents, it's this: be ready to roll with the punches and just do it ONE DAY AT A TIME.

Originally, before we had Ella, we planned to start trying for Baby #2 when Ella turned 10 months old. Yeah right. That changed the minute we realized how much we underestimated how hard it was to care for 1 baby let alone 2 babies. But because we only plan on having 2 kids, we wanted to make sure to have them close together. I mean, my sister and I are a couple of years apart and I loved growing up with her. And I want the same for Ella.

So here we are. Expecting our 2nd child. Excited of course. But extremely nervous about going through this whole baby thing again. The good thing is, we know what it's like to have 1 baby. The bad thing is, we have no clue what it's like to have a toddler and a baby.

Anyway, I'll be posting updates as best I can on this pregnancy. I'll be posting another Q&A like I did the last time. Followed by a gender reveal recap that is set to happen on April 15th. And all the weekly updates much like last time.

Most importantly I'm hoping to just be able to blog more than I have about any and everything.

So stay tuned for more!

I swear it feels like I just posted my 28 week update.... but here we are! 29 weeks and feeling GREAT!!!!

Check out this belly one more time....

Can this belly even get any bigger?! I know Baby P's still got some growin' to do... but geeeeez...

What Is Baby P Up To This Week?

  • She is now the size of a butternut squash

  • She weighs in about 2.5 - 2.9 lbs and is a little over 15 inches long

  • Her muscles and lungs are continuing to mature and her head is growing bigger to make room for that developing brain.

  • To meet Baby P's increasing nutritional demands, I'll need plenty of protein, vitamin C, folic acid, and iron. And because Baby P's bones are soaking up lots of calcium, I need to make sure to consume a lot of calcium. During this trimester, about 250 mg of calcium is deposited into Baby P's hardening skeleton each day.

What's Been Happening With ME This Week?

Weight Gained: Not a clue. And I'm okay with that.

Workouts: the usual - walks around the neighborhood and squats. I'm hoping to do a little more strength training at home next week but we'll see how well that goes.

Symptoms:

  • Lower back pain

  • Mild cramping in the lower ab area from walking around too much (Braxton-Hicks contractions maybe? Idk)

  • Super duper tired (story of my life)

  • I get winded easily (stairs are just the worst!)

  • Just being plain UNCOMFORTABLE whether I'm sitting or laying down

  • And I've just found more varicose veins on the back of my thighs. Yuck. They are gross. So much for looking cute in a bikini this summer.

Food Aversions: Nothing that sticks out in my mind...

Food Cravings:

  • Coffee (because I know I can't have any anymore)

  • Crackers (weird but true!)

  • Fried Chicken (yup, that one will never go away)

  • Cinnabon

  • And one of my favorite dishes as a kid - eggplant fried in an egg batter.

Sleep: It's gotten a little better since I bought that body pillow... but it's still difficult to get comfortable. I know "uncomfortable" is what I'll be for the next 11 weeks, but hey... I got this.

Any Baby/Pregnancy Related Purchases? Some maternity tank tops from Old Navy. I don't want to keep on buying more maternity clothes but at least I'll still be able to use these tanks after Baby is born. They're comfy and casual and I got them for $6 each. So that makes it okay :-P

Stretch Marks? Nope! :-)

Miss Anything? Yes!!! I miss coffee!!! And I miss working out hardcore. I thought taking advantage of being pregnant and not working out like I'm used to would be like taking a vacation... but I find myself wishing I could just get to the gym and just start lifting heavy weights. It'll be a few more months before I can get back at it.

Belly Button In or Out? It depends on the time of day. And what I eat. As strange as that sounds... but on some days, it's a complete outtie. Especially when I eat a lot or if my stomach is full of food. And then on the days where I don't eat a lot of heavy meals, it's not as much of an outtie.

Wedding Rings On or Off? Still on!

Happy or Moody Most of the Time? Extremely happy and feeling blessed. As uncomfortable as I am... I know it's only temporary and totally worth it for my little human being to continue to bake inside my growing belly.

Any Movements? A LOT of movement. It's becoming more visible each day and it's just the coolest thing ever. She responds to gentle pokes/nudges on the belly and I absolutely love it.

Looking Forward To: Going on maternity leave. I wanted to be Super Woman and work all the way up to the last possible week I can, but I realize that this growing belly is adding so much weight to my body that it's just too hard to keep up with the demands of my job. So I can't wait to finally be able to just relax and "nest" once I'm given the OK to take my leave.

I am going to be 30 weeks prego tomorrow. Which means 10 more weeks to go. Which means AAAAGGGGGHHHHHH!!! :-)
